Find High Connections with Netstat

If you need to find the cause of a spike in network traffic by protocol. Replace :80 with the port of the protocol you want to single out.

netstat -natp | grep :80 | awk '{print $5}' | cut -d: -f1 | sort | uniq -c | sort -nr

Find what ports are being listened to and by what

netstat -lnptu
